A few kids in Texas are about to have their birthdays ruined when they don’t get a Nintendo Switch 2. Thieves stole over $1,000,000 worth of the new consoles from the back of a semi-truck. The driver didn’t know they were gone until he did a pre-trip inspection.

Thieves steal 3,000 Nintendo Switch 2 consoles from semi-truck

A semi-truck was making its way to Texas to deliver over 3,000 Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. However, they never made it to their final destination.

Colorado thieves managed to steal over $1,000,000 worth of the consoles from the back of a semi-truck somewhere along the route. Now parents who promised to play the new Mario Kart with their kids have some explaining to do.

The trucker was performing a routine pre-trip inspection at the Love’s Truck Stop at 1191 S. 1st St. in Bennett when he realized the cargo was missing.

He immediately called the police as these consoles were roughly $500 each. Police officers were unable to determine when the thieves got away with pallets of the consoles. They were supposed to be delivered to a GameStop in Grapevine, Texas.

According to 9 News, It’s unclear if the consoles were taken from the tractor-trailer at the truck stop in Bennet or while it was parked at another location.

The trucker must have been sleeping pretty hard in the cab if he didn’t wake up during the heist. If you know any related information please contact the investigations tipline at 720-874-8477. You can remain anonymous.Â
